10 Inspiring Books to Read this Summer.

If you’re in need of some good books to read on the beach start here. As a kid I hated reading. I read a Goosebumps book once, the one where you choose where the plot moves to next… But other than that, nadda. However some things have changed. Now I eat my greens, stay up past 10 and enjoy a book every now and again. With summer in full swing these are my top picks for an inspiring read while catching some rays. All of these books left a lasting impression on me, quit Netflix and give these a crack. Enjoy.

Shoe Dog

Could not put this book down, an inspiring easy read about the life of Nike creator Phil Knight. Get ready to be inspired to slip on the Nikes and go for a run.


This book truly resonates with how we try to work at Motion Sickness. The process, beliefs and business motivations explained in the book couldn’t be more on point. If you are in need of a New Year re calibration this one’s for you.

Richard Branson – Losing My Virginity

If you haven’t read this already it’s a must. This fella’s journey is simply incredible. Funny, revealing, informative and super inspiring.

Russell Brand – My Booky Wook

The funniest book I have ever read, from heroin junkie to Hollywood. This book holds nothing back and delves deep into Russell Brand’s unbelievable life. Lots a lols.

The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck

This is not a cliche self help book. It’s all about cutting through the crap and becoming a happier person. Less bullshit, more truth and more embracing the whole package.

Brian Cranston – A Life In Parts

If you’re a Breaking Bad fan give this one a crack. Short stories from a tumultuous life, an easy read that has a bit of everything.

Scar Tissue

Drugs drugs drugs. To paraphrase the book – Anthony Kiedis has taken a lot of drugs and been with a lot of women…This book shows a truly unique perspective on drug addiction and fame. You don’t have to be a fan of the Red Hot Chilis to enjoy this one.
